Aaron Lam, senior, Department of Nuclear Engineering, School of Engineering and Nicholus Radcliffe, senior, Department of Nuclear Engineering, School of Engineering

Lam and Radcliffe have each been awarded $7,500 through the U.S. Department of Energy's Nuclear Energy University Program. Only 58 recipients from universities across the country received this scholarship. Both rising seniors, the two scientists will study a breadth of critical nuclear energy issues, from fuel cycle to reactor efficiency and design. Radcliffe and Lam are both interested in nuclear energy because of the greater efficiency and relative safety that it holds over other forms of energy production.
