Diabetic neuropathy is a common serious complication of diabetes. It is a type of nerve damage that can occur most often in the legs and feet. For some people, these symptoms are mild — for others, diabetic neuropathy can be painful and disabling.

“Surgical Treatment for Diabetic Neuropathy” will be presented by Jonathan Isaacs, M.D., from the VCU Upper Extremity and Peripheral Nerve Center, who will discuss a new surgical nerve decompression treatment option that may offer relief for patients with diabetic neuropathy.
