Meloy, Linda D.
Pediatrics
Linda Meloy, M.D., professor in the Division of General Pediatrics in the VCU School of Medicine, serves as the medical director of the VCU Medical Center Newborn Nursery and conducts various clinical research projects on vaccines and newborn jaundice. In 2009, VCU was part of a national clinical trial to develop a vaccine for the H1N1 influenza, and Meloy served as the principal investigator of the study at VCU site. For six years, Meloy served as the pediatrician for the Crater health district providing medical care for the underserved in the Petersburg area. She returned to VCU to teach, provide primary care and conduct research. She has participated in medical mission trips to Russia, Ukraine, India, Estonia, Guatemala and Romania.
