“With Good Reason” is an eclectic blend of timely radio features and interviews designed to appeal to general audiences. Each week scholars from Virginia’s colleges and universities explore literature, science, the arts, politics, history and business.

The show is produced for the Virginia Higher Education Broadcasting Consortium by the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities and is broadcast in partnership with public radio stations in Virginia and Washington, D.C.

VCU Assistant Professor David Coogan stepped outside the lecture hall to teach creative writing to inmates of the Richmond City Jail. Writing their own stories forced his students to take a hard look at their past actions and gain new perspective about life after prison.
