Department of Radiation Sciences holds 2003 recognition reception for students

Virginia Commonwealth University's Department of Radiation Sciences held a reception to honor the efforts of students in the program over the past academic year.

Awards presented included the A.D. Williams Award for Academic Achievement, given to the student with the highest cumulative G.P.A.; the A.D. Williams Scholarship for rising seniors in recognition of outstanding academic and professional performance as recommended by the faculty and the Elizabeth Blackburn Award in Nuclear Medicine Technology, which recognizes a student's outstanding academic and clinic performance.

VCU's Department of Radiation Sciences is part of the School of Allied Health Professions, offering a curriculum that will prepare students for a career in radiation therapy, nuclear medicine technology and other radiation sciences.
