Jatinder R. Palta, Ph.D., professor and division head, Division of Medical Physics, Department of Radiation Oncology, School of Medicine
On July 31 in Denver, at the annual meeting of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine, Palta was presented with the William D. Coolidge Award, recognizing his distinguished career in medical physics and his significant impact on the practice of medical physics.
The Coolidge Award is the AAPM’s highest honor, awarded each year to an individual who exerted a significant impact upon the scientific practice of medical physics, significantly influenced the professional development of the careers of other medical physicists and is a leader in national or international organizations, with specific emphasis on AAPM activities.
