Free Fast-Track Flu Shot Clinic Available for VCU Health System Employees and Volunteers

The Virginia Commonwealth University Health System this week kicked off its free Fast Track Flu Shot Clinic for its employees and volunteers.

The VCUHS is working to achieve a 100 percent vaccination rate. Staff arriving at the clinics with sleeves rolled up, valid VCUHS employee ID and completed consent forms will receive fast track service of the seasonal flu shot or nasal spray.

Located in North Hospital, sixth floor, the remaining clinic schedule is as follows:

Tuesday, Oct. 11, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 12, noon to 7 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 13, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 14, noon to 7 p.m.
Monday. Oct. 17 – peer vaccinations by injection only will commence in inpatient clinical areas. Peer vaccinations are intended primarily for night and weekend staff.

Satellite clinics also will be offered at Stony Point, Biotech, Rhoadmiller, 701 E. Franklin St. and the Children’s Hospital of Richmond’s Brooke Road campus. Time and details to be announced.

Flu vaccine also will be available at Employee Health beginning Oct. 17 through April 2012.
