Jennifer Carmean was appointed interim assistant vice president for content and storytelling in February 2022. She leads the content team in developing and amplifying the stories and university initiatives that best illustrate VCU.
Carmean has served the university in various communications roles since 1994, most recently as the director of communications for university-level initiatives. Much of her career has focused on PR and marketing communications for higher education. She completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology from VCU in 1998.
