Jayla Parker joined the public relations team in October 2022 as the public relations coordinator. She supports the VCU Health System by contributing to strategic PR planning, external communications, media relations, as well as reporting and analytics.
Parker previously served as an administrative assistant for the Honors College of Virginia Commonwealth University while also earning her master’s degree in strategic public relations as a full-time student at Virginia Commonwealth University. She graduated in August 2022.
Prior to joining VCU, Parker earned her bachelor's of science degree in multimedia journalism from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in May 2021.
