VCU’s MCV Campus Student Government Association hosted the 6th Annual Community
Health Fair on Feb. 23, at Armstrong High School.

The student-organized and volunteer-run event brought together education groups, clinicians and other community resources to promote health and well-being.

Health fair offerings included free screenings, including cholesterol, blood sugar and blood pressure; dental services; dozens of educational tables; participation prizes; free lunches and a kids' area with activities and games.

More than 200 community residents attended this year's event. Approximately 200 student volunteers participated in the fair, and more than 90 health departments and organizations were in attendance.

Community Health Education Center volunteers spread the word about the organization’s services.
