VCU hosts 'Health Care Reform: Four Unique Perspectives'
Program designed to enhance the quality of the health care reform debate
Symposium on Islamic Art
This year's symposium, "And Diverse Are Their Hues: Color in Islamic Art and Culture, " featured 13 speakers from the Middle East, Europe, Australia and the United States. The symposium, the world's foremost symposium on Islamic art, was co-sponsored by the Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts, the VCU School of the Arts in Qatar and the Qatar Foundation
VCU students and faculty take part in Una Vida Sana Event
The event was a trial run of a program to promote health in the Hispanic community. The project is expected to grow over the next year into a service-learning initiative that provides screenings and health education on numerous topics. This year’s event included screenings for cardiometabolic diseases, such as hypertension, diabetes and heart disease
