Carver Community Relief Fund
The number one need in the Carver community as a result of the devastating March 26 fire is cash. Repair and rebuilding needs are still being assessed, but it is evident at this point that money is what is most needed to help with repairs. To date, 199 generous gifts have been received for a total of $87,194.
Checks should be made out to the VCU Foundation with “Carver Community Relief Fund” as a notation. The mailing address is:

Richmond, VA 23284-3042
Volunteers also are needed on a day-to-day basis for cleanup and other recovery efforts, depending on the needs of the fire victims. To volunteer, please call the VCU Office of Community Programs at 828-8850. The VCU and Richmond area communities have been very generous with donations of food, clothing, furniture and other materials. At this time, further donations of this kind are not needed.
Parking
Beginning Monday, April 5, commuters will be charged the standard rate for
parking in the VCU Parking Decks. Subscribers to the GS Lot at the corner of Grace and Shafer
